background.md

I was shaped by science fiction and fantasy—genres where impossible questions are met with technology, design, and myth. I learned to see stories as speculative blueprints. Fiction fuels science, and science reshapes fiction; together, they form a feedback loop that drives invention. That same drive—to imagine, experiment, and build—has carried me from molecular biology to creative technology. It's applied creativity: treating codebases like story structures, systems like mythologies, and products like lived‑in worlds.

My time in science—especially working with non‑model organisms—gave me intricate puzzles and the freedom to solve them without a manual. In the lab, no two days looked the same. I'd go from running experiments at the bench to writing custom code, from designing figures to troubleshooting equipment—or building it myself, often under budget and using cast‑off parts from the '70s. I became a one‑person instrumentarium: part researcher, part engineer, part designer, part fixer.

That's exactly why I feel at home in startups. Startups thrive on people who can shift gears, build from scratch (or know when to use the scraps), and hack away at any idea until it takes shape. Being scrappy, underfunded, and resourceful is the common thread. Startup life is just the next experiment.

CoFounder & CEO

Blind Harpy Studios

Blind Harpy Studios is a digital-first entertainment studio creating genre-driven content across comics, games, and interactive experiences.

As Co-Founder and CEO, I lead the studio from concept to execution—building the business infrastructure, technical pipelines, and creative strategy that bring our original IP to life. My role spans big-picture vision and hands-on execution: from operations and budgeting to team management, production workflows, and systems that bridge creative ambition with technical precision.

In short: I turn strange, bold, myth-soaked ideas into functional, sustainable pipelines—so Blind Harpy can keep making the offbeat, immersive stories it craves, across both emerging and traditional media platforms.

Chief Technology Officer

Kompany

At Kompany, I lead the technical vision for a creator-first social platform. We're reimagining how creators and communities connect—building tools that center ownership, ethical design, and creative autonomy.

As CTO, I'm focused on architecting scalable, future-ready systems that serve Kompany's dual mission: helping creators truly own their audiences, and giving communities a space built for meaningful, lasting connection. My work spans infrastructure and product strategy—laying the technical foundation while shaping the roadmap that brings our values to life. It's not just about building tech that works—it's about building tech that works with intention.

Technical & Strategic Consultant

Early-Stage Advisory

Beyond my core work at the studio and platform, I advise early-stage entertainment and tech ventures—helping founders turn bold “what ifs” into market-ready realities.

My advisory work sits at the intersection of creative vision, technical design, and business strategy. I often act as a translator between teams—bridging the gap between engineers, storytellers, and investors. Whether it's building MVPs, shaping narrative frameworks, or stress-testing systems for scale, I specialize in turning ambitious ideas into viable, durable products that hold up in the real world.
